Pastoral Crisis Intervention

This training supports the role(s) of: Share Officer, Care Officer

Time of Training: 13 hours

A blend of good Mental Health practices, the Bible and prayer. It is the integration of traditional spiritual and/or religious crisis intervention with sound emotional support and/or psychological first aid. The goal is to stabilize the person in a crisis so they can return to their daily routine; to introduce them with new coping skills; or to refer them to appropriate on-going support if needed.

City Chaplain is poised to help train local Churches in crisis readiness, response and recovery topics. This training is for church members, leaders and those called to actively serve in crisis ministries such as Chaplains or missions teams.
