National Day of Prayer Report
“Stepping out in more zeal because they love the Lord so much, with out fear. They depend completely on Him”.
These are the words of Lisa Crump, Senior Director of Prayer Mobilization for National Day of Prayer (NDP) Task Force. In this article, Lisa is sharing a few highlights from this year’s National Day of Prayer she has gathered from events across this nation. You will “go out with joy, and be led out with peace” Isaiah 55: 12a as you read the following reports. People across this nation will always, “seek the Lord while He may be found. Calling upon Him while He is near”, Isaiah 55 6. You will be inspired and blessed by this message of hope expressed through her tears of joy.
Reflecting on 2 Kings 20:5, “Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘thus says the Lord, the God of David your father, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you.” Thus, to all intercessors, indeed the Lord has heard your prayers, and seen your tears; He will heal.
Lisa Crump, Senior Director of Prayer Mobilization for National Day of Prayer (NDP) Task Force, explains the heart behind the NDP partnership with CEN as, “Together, we are stepping out in more zeal because we love the Lord and together without fear we are depending completely on Him for our nation”. As NDP’s church prayer leaders concluded the day of prayer via conference call nationwide, CEN’s ReadyAnthem church prayer officers coordinated and facilitated 300 people to quickly text prayers across the nation simultaneously as part of an emergency prayer test.
Highlights from the National Day of Prayer 2012
The Statue of Liberty:
Concerts of Prayer NYC hosted a first time NDP event enabling people to pray publicly at one of our nations most significant symbols of freedom. Among those assembled to pray were forty pastors from a Hispanic coalition along with their legislative Representative.
Only God could provide a clear path for this prayer circle to form. So many details had to come together, permits, transportation to mention a few.
The woman from Oregon who had the original vision for this flew in for the event. She had been to the Statue of Liberty seventeen years earlier and the Lord impressed on her that there should be prayer at the site. This is a testimony for her.
A group of men and women who “join forces to pray over our cities, states and nation from the unique perspective of flight.”
One pilot reported that over Lima, OH, they did a lot of twisting and turning in flight as they prayed for schools, prisons, businesses, and government officials.
Over Illinois, two aircraft with prayer warriors aboard prayed for our great nation. They said they could see many prayer warriors on the ground at the state capitol.
Two thousand plus were in attendance throughout the day at Civic Center Park, Lincoln Park and the Capitol Steps. Each county represented in the morning including repentance of one county to another.
There were 20+ prayer tents in the Prayer Fair and at noon, there were lines of people waiting to receive prayer.
Prayer for the nation at the Capitol steps was powerful with people from the audience coming forward to pray from the microphone.
The YWAM school in Arvada closed for the day. All 100 of the students and staff ministered at Lincoln park to business people, the occupy folks and homeless people. A powerful sight was a young YWAM guy in jeans and a t-shirt ministering to a businessman in a shirt and tie.
The testimony of a man who had just gotten out of prison and was planning his suicide, once again, shows us that love conquers all. As the team ministered to him, he accepted Christ and was given a place to stay for the night with promises of help finding a job.
Be encouraged by these reports from Lisa.
Yes, lets all “Step out in more zeal because individuals love the Lord so much, without fear depending completely on Him”.
God hears our prayers, He sees our tears, He is God and there is no other.
To God be the glory forever and ever, Amen!
