We at CEN have a unique opportunity to help make it possible for two of our national co-laboring ministries to drop-ship much-needed communication equipment to Haiti's recent earthquake-ravaged zone.

Communication is key, both for information going into AND out of a country affected by a natural disaster.  We all can help - by praying now that the distribution process and funds needed to get that communication equipment there will become quickly available at the God-appointed time. Let's also pray for God to show Himself to the citizens there, to the emergency response personnel, and to the many ministries on site in that country who can help.  Read on...

We will keep you updated as to how you can assist in the communication efforts once we have a "go."  Meanwhile, pray.  We are aware of at least one U.S. short-term mission group currently in Haiti from a Minnesota church; they find themselves in a unique situation to be a great spiritual influence.  A United Methodist Church short-term mission group is now back in New Jersey.  And, several international response organizations are getting survival kits, food and water, and emergency health efforts underway.  Pray for these...and allow God to prompt you as to how best to help.

CEN Chapters nationwide equip Christians to prepare and respond to crises of all kinds.  God is "all sufficient" to help His people and reveal Himself to those not yet part of His Kingdom.  Let's support our fellow-believers affected by these situations, and reach out to many in God's Name.  We know that much Kingdom work gets done in tough times.
